I pronounce it more like KRAY-tum.
There could also be -tome suffixes and krah- prefixes. @_@
Hahaahahaha cats-cum the r is silent
kra- tum , short vowel a
I say it with a short 'a' and emphasize the first syllable. So I say it rather like KRAtum or KRATum. It never occured to me for it to be said any differently. Strange, that.
5) Krat-om, or this - 6) Krat-um
Come to think of it, although I aint read any of this thread (yet) kraytom could make sense as a pronunication, I just never heard anyone actually utter the word, so arrived at my krat, cat, shat on the mattum.
Although the well known irish vendor, with the name that rhymes with bearuocrat wouldnt sell crates, would he?
Crates of krat, hahahahahahhahhah
I always thought to pronounce it krat-um, but on you-tube a guy on there was pronouncing it kray-tum, so i thought I was pronouncing it wrong all the time. I guess its like the, "you say (toe-may-to) and I say (toe-matto)" scenario.
Same as Mona really.........Kra-tum. I never thought of any other way......or even that another way was possible. LOL
I mean kraY-tum? I'd never consider adding another letter to a word! Differing pronunciation is amazing really.
