Remember those old-school DOS-based games, before Windows 95 was even available?

I especially remember playing Commander Keen, Cosmo's Cosmic Adventures, and Duke Nukem as a kid. Such classics. XD

I remember Duke Nukem & Commander Keen, they were pretty fun.. also remember all the Quest games put out by Sierra, with my fav being Quest for Glory II. Did you play Leisure Suite Larry? Think it was the closest thing to computer porn that we had at that time.. pixelated half naked women *drools*.

The graphics compared to nowadays are laughable, but they still had us all enthralled for hours right?

Damnn, Keene and Duke Nukem II

There was some starquest (?) game I used to play as a kid too. Along with prince of persia.

Prince of persia was cool. Jumping over shit and dueling dudes. I can go even more oldskool to the days before colour moniters and when hard drives of 20MB were considered big.. There was winter & summer olympics and some game where you had to cross the street as cars went past, think you were a frog of some sort in it. :D

Awe Yeah!!

Privateer, Doom and Pac-Man. Many many years of my childhood wasted. The wing commander series was also amazing. Actually... Almost anything by origin systems was pretty good.

I remember playing Doom and Wolfenstein for hours on end back in the day. I also used to play this game called Yie-air-kung fu which was kind of crappy but fun to play. Ahh childhood.

It's kind of odd - as a child I could play really boring games for hours being entranced; I could play snake for hours on end.

EDIT:

Prince of persia was cool...
You bastard I'm the one and only E!! Hahaha.

After reading throught this list and responding yesterday I went and got doom on the computer(for free of course) and am almost through with it. God it brings back so many funny times from back in the day. Doom 2 was good as well.

I used to play Speedball 2 on the Commodore 64 but Worms on the Amiga is untoppable.

I spent days playing that with my brother & I only had the demo

The worms series is still great. Worm Armageddon is brilliant.

Wolfenstein was great.
Doom II is probably still one of my top 10 games of all time.
So many hours of my life wasted playing those games...

Don't know if this counts as "old-school" but I've been having tons of fun playing Pokemon Snap lately...

I remember that game. That was the only Pokemon game I ever played. It was pretty fun.

It should be obvious what my favorite old school games are.
