Radical: Seen as being on the far left of the political spectrum, radical wide-sweeping rapid change in the basic structure of the political, social and economic system. They may be willing to resort to extreme methods to get change, including some violence and revolution.

Liberal: liberals believe that the government should be actively involved in the promotion of social welfare of a nation's citizens. Liberals usually can stand gradual change within the existing political system. They reject violence as a way of changing the way things are, often called the status-quo.

Moderates: moderates may share viewpoints with both liberals and conservatives. They are seen as tolerant of other people's views, and they do not have views of their own. They advocate "go slow" or "wait and see" approaches to political change.

Conservatives:, people who hold conservative ideals favor keeping things as they are or maintaining the status-quo if it is what they desire. Conservatives are hesitant or cautious about adopting new policies, especially if they increase government activism in some way. They feel that less government is better. They agree with Jefferson's view that "the best governments govern least."

Reactionary: sitting on the far right of the ideological spectrum, reactionaries go back to the way things were- "good ol' days". Often reactionaries are willing to use extreme methods, such as repressive use of government force to achieve goals.

Greens: even though this political view could fall under Radical/Liberal it deserves it's own box, not all Radical/Liberals are Greenies and vice-versa

Ron Paul is a constitutionalist, he doesn't like being assoiated with any party as of right now.

You should make constitutionalist an option I'd vote for that.

In some ways, I'm more conservative because I love certain traditions and don't like government interference in my life. No nanny state for me, please. I don't begrudge rewarding those who've been ambitious and worked hard to get where they are. I believe in taking personal responsibility as much as possible instead of taking the state for granted regarding hand-outs.

But in saying that, I believe in a safety net for the most vulnerable and also believe in socialized medicine to at least the Canadian standard. The UK system is perhaps too socialized because the NHS lacks state-of-the-art for most of its patients, most of the time (though there will always be exceptions, of course). The American system penalizes the poor and those without medical insurance.

As for drugs policy, I'm obviously going to believe in the liberal approach whereby it's treated more as a social issue than a legal/crime issue. the prisons are already packed enough as it is. Let's go after REAL criminals, thank you very much :)
