GBL tastes different!

I'm on to my 3rd bottle of GBL from A**F*X (not sure if I'm allowed to say the name, but I'm sure most will know who i mean). It's got exactly the same effects as the last two, but definately has a slightly different taste. It tasted like something I've tasted before. Tastes a bit fruity!

Anyway, I'm not particularly worried, just curious to see if anyone else has experienced this, or if anyone knows what might cause it.

yep ive only had 2 bottles of gbl, tasted differnt. one tasted a bit like meph when mixed with juice. rank!

The last one i had from Alloycleaner tasted of Aniseed, was a bit weird TBH.
Think that they're just adding flavours to make it more palatable.

I've been thinking about it and I don't think they would do that. They market it as 99.9% pure and I dont think they'd bother compromising that by adding stuff, as there may be some 'legit' buyers. Now that means that there is a 1000th of it that could be anything, maybe there is a few different ways of making it with different by-products that taste different.

Well now I'm just inventing stuff cos I've drank too much of it, LOL.

It's a controlled substance where I live, that's also why I haven't yet, but this thing make me curious...

yikes! acetone is fruity.... i wouldn't trust that.

there's many different factors that make it taste different....

BIGGEST is what type of plastic bottle you received it in, and how long ago it was put in that bottle! GBL for industrial use is shipped to uk in 200l metal drums, and gbl for scientific use is received in glass containers....

gbl eats plastic! if you leave it at the right conditions too long, it will eat right through your plastic bottle! as far as i know A***** and all the other semi legal suppliers get it shipped to them in the plastic containers already. i personally wouldn't touch anything thats been in plastic longer than a few days!

GBL doesnt eat HDPE (High-density polyethylene)
