New to weed

i am familiar with my blends but when it comes to weed i haven't got a clue. My mate's getting a twenty bag of aparantly good shit. What's it going to look like and smell like? Resin is the shit stuff yeah?

Resin is not crap, in fact good resin (such as pollen or afghani black) can be better than most bud - you can normally tell good resin as it doesn't need to be burnt and will either be like putty or just crumble. Different strains also produce different effects as the active elements are different. For example, African and Asian strains have high levels of THCV which makes the THC more effective.

Bud can vary, and there isn't often a choice of strains. Generally, there is what people buy in bulk which is of lower quality (i.e. bottom bud) and the most potent (top bud). There's also a lot of variance in the active elements in different strains of bud (due to the balance between the amount of THC and CBD).

Compared to blends, all types of natural weed feel much better, and you need much less. Having too much can be overpowering and make a person anxious. Plus you're not injesting an unknown chemical that could be harmful (weed has been smoked for centuries!)

Yeah hence the conversion. Plus now i've developed decent sources so it's a bit more accesable. is resin better for vaping then? gonna use a free home-made type vape. Only downside to it is that it may not be effective for releasing CBD. But yeah. What is bud like?

I prefer some decent bud to resin, but like others have said, if you manage to source some good resin it can be very nice stuff. Bud is just the flowers of the cannabis plant, good bud will usuallly be quite thick and tends to be a very bright green with orange hairs poking out, also appears "frosted" because of thc on the bud. It also should smell quite strongly. I tend to use half tobacco and half weed but i smoke joints.

The blends do a good MJ like effect, but i enjoy smoking weed a lot more than blends. Its altogether more happy, giggily and fun. Also tastes and smells very nice. I find its practically impossible not to have a great time with cannabis being smoked.

However you can get variation to the max, ive had bright green bud, dark green bud, brown bud, almost completley white bud, purple bud etc etc. The smells can range from pungent sweet skunk to earthy spicy (almost hashy) smells. Also depending on the quality of the stuff you could end up with loose, thin bud, or even flat bud if its been compressed.

Good resin is harder to come by, if its light coloured it can range from a light brown to almost yellow, and you shouldnt need a lighter to sprinkle (though even some grade A hash can be quite hard, but still breakable by hand)

If its dark resin then you want it to be squidgey and soft like fudge almost. Though this also varies.

If it looks like a big of a mishmash and tastes horrible, then itll probably be soapbar (dirt cheap morrocan which has then been contaminated to fuck), if in doubt try to break it apart, if its solid then i wouldnt risk it.

^^^ plus, you should see white crystal thingy's on it that can make the bud look a lil white. Also there may be orange hairs on it, kinda looks like thin string.
I offer one piece of advice... smoke more weed. It's good. A spliff a day keep the doctor away:D
