View Full Version : LHF: Future Proof ... A place to settle

Just thought I'd put it out there, LHF is not hosted or operated in UK or USA so there is less chance of legal issues and less risk in the site going down or losing the database to authorities (even though there is nothing to hide)

I have had a lot of experience creating, maintaining, hosting and running 'these kinds' of forums.

Stick round LHF if you want all the information here future proofed and safe.

LHF will not close its doors on its members.

Always good to hear Neo. Champ is a great guy, its a shame things got out of control over there :(

I hope that all the disturbance caused by the move doesnt mean any lost members, and I hope eventually people will come to see this place as their new home!

I'm using the same theme too. Looks great. You should have a style sheet for the EDIT refugees too XD
I was just starting to make myself at home at champs after edit left us..

I can build an EDIT look alike if someone can provide me with screen shots or saved pages! :D

So is this forum hosted on a shared server, virtual server or a dedicated server. I am wondering how it will hold up to the traffic and load if it becomes very popular.

A reverse DNS showed them on your same IP address. :)

Are you from New Zealand or just hosting there?

the problem with champs is simply that there was a forum about legal drug/RC use on the same site/buisness as a vendor for these substances. that means that Usage info and the Drugs were available in the same place.... which is an obvious no-no. He left the forums up for a few days to make sure everyone could find a new place.

this forum will not have the same issues for obvious reasons.

This forum is here to stay, we need sensible places like this for drug and alcohol harm minimization and prevention.

It would be irresponsible to remove this website.

I agree, forums like this help prevent harm from drugs and should be encouraged, not shut down, glad I found this place, thanks for setting it up.

And I sincerely hope it does too :)

Champ did the best job yet in terms of creating a forum where people could freely express themselves and everyone got in harmony, people are so much nicer on these places than you would find in the general public.

We can blame the government for places like these being taken down, Champ said the BBC, The Gaurdian and others wanted to interview him so took it down from all the attention.

Needless to say it shows how big the legal highs market is becoming, we are winning, that's the best thing for us to know.

Goes to show that prohibition is all about supressing conciousness, if they made them legal, everyone would be enlightened.

Actually I'm not sure if we are winning and I think it looks more like we are loosing.
Problem is that if the whole scene get's to big and public, authorities will crack down on it with new analogues laws etc.
Of course there will always be new substances that may circumvent the news laws again, but it will take time and may be much harder to get them.

Just look at the outcome of the international drug convention or whatever it was called that took place 2-3 weeks ago.
10 years ago, they agreed on steps which in their opinion would completely eliminate the world drug problem within 10 years and they actually believed that
So now 10 years later, there is a report saying that the whole war on drugs did not change anything at all, but just consumed billions of dollars.
So what did they do: They decided to continue, because now they will do it better
So in the end nothing changes....
The majority of the people will always be anti drugs and that will not change in the next couple of years unfortunately.
It's okay that thousands of people die from alcohol every year just in my country, but if it comes to other substances, they are all evil and need to be erased and destroyed in the mind of the public...

there will allways be the need to get high and feel good !
and u could get drugs and booze no matter what !
look at the good folks in jail ..... there being watched 24 ..7......
and they still get anything threw .....

there's to much money backing this to stop !
this wont be a end of legal highs at all .....
just wait this only the start of somthing good !

they cant win the war on drugs ...and pretty soon it will be to much for the goverment to handle !

Mr.Grey

Of course drugs will always be available.
I was just talking about the legal highs scene itself.
The great thing about it is, that they are legal and can be ordered online without risking too much trouble.

Should new extensive analogue laws be created by authorities it may make large amounts of chemicals illegal and therefore much harder to get and with much more risks involved.

Right now, I would not hesitate at all to order 100g of Mephedrone online and have it sent directly to me, as it is completely legal.
I would definitely not do the same for MDMA or any other illegal drug.
However due to the scene getting more and more public, I'm just afraid these easy times will end sooner or later...
