SWIM has ordered a large personal quantity of 4-MMC and M1 over 3 weeks ago and has yet to receive anything. According to tracking, item has been held in customs shortly after order date. SWIM is almost certain that the order has been examined by an agent by now, though as far as SWIM knows, the compounds are entirely legal in his country. SWIM has not received a love letter yet, and doesn't expect one. How much longer should SWIM expect to wait? Will the item even arrive? If not, should SWIM inquire with customs about what is going on? Anybody have any similar experiences or advice? SWIM does not want to lose out on a reasonable sum of cash... they are following the rules, why isn't customs doing the same?

Wouldn't SWIM have received a love letter than?

What country are you in? (don't post it here tho) if customs have searched it, and they would have by now. My guess is that they have trashed it. if you are in a country that has analog laws they may have made the decision to bin it and not worry about the legal side because the legislation is vague but not vague enough for them not to do that.

could always do a follow up through the tracking company as to what has happened with it - they themselves should contact customs and follow through.

[thinking about moving this thread out of RC and into General Discussion - any objections?]

Is there any way to make a claim for SWIM's losses? Vendor won't help.

chances are, if your tracking system says it's being held, that means it's still technically on it's way.

if a package is going to 'disappear' especailly in the US, the tracking number will come up as invalid not as being held... I know from personal experience.

I'll say it again: IF YOU ARE GOING TO ORDER POSSIBLY QUESTIONABLE ITEMS, DO SO UTILIZING A PRIVATE PARCEL SERVICE NOT A GOVERNMENT SERVICE.

all of my parcels come in via fed-ex, ups or dhl... I mean.. another $20 bucks over what I already spend to ENSURE it's arrival in 3 days... there's no good reason why not.

Interesting info about tracking for stolen items. I'll keep that in mind for the private parcel services. This was my first international order, so I didn't really know the reprocutions... I hope it just arrives out of nowhere one day.

I've read on a blulight thread that people chose USPS over the other options and mentioned that air ensure seemed to bring more interest to governmental agencies...

but then again, I have yet to use fed-ex etc. I just currently like not having to sign for anything since I'm rarely at home.

I hope you get your parcel soon too!

I like vendors who at best promise to resend if things don't work out and at least let me pay to insure against 'loss'.

Fingers crossed for you!

just wanted to let those of you in USA know, a buddy of mine buys JWH from online and recently got a visit from fuzz about his package... it was due the day of the visit, and they came to the door and asked about his 'foriegn friends' and what he was shipping in from thailand. My friend (actually him not me... lol), knowing his rights, told them exactly what it was ( jwh-018 and jwh-073) and that he intended on selling small portions for licit uses to qualified labs. having no basis in law to charge him with anything, his package actually arrived the next day and tho it had been opened, the vacuum sealed envelope that was inside the shipping envelope was NOT opened and no baggies/powder were visible or detectable in any way shape or form.

he said the cops looked at him funny when he blurted out that they were
" 1000 milligram samples of 1-pentyl-3-napthoyl(indole) and 1-butyl-3-napthoyl(indole) for use as a reagent"

goes to show that education and well timed 1/2 truths are the policy when dealing with overzealous government types.
