Because it dilates your pupils to monster size, just like a strong stim or hallucinogen. Yet it's effects are purely downer, just like alcohol. I wonder why it makes the pupils so blinking large? :confused:

I've only tried a couple times and enjoyed the rebound it gives but I find it so disgusting plus I'm wary of overdosing on the stuff. No idea about why it affects the pupils though.

Yeah, I drink litres of the stuff, but only ever in small doses (sub 2ml), because I don't like the way it can unexpectedly KO you in high doses.. I see it as an alcohol substitute, but it makes my eyes look like I've taken a kilo of MDMA.. :eek:

Sounds like you might have to look for some of those contact lenses that disguise your pupils :D;)

I only noticed pupil dilation after I took it post 2C-I. My pupils had blown up like saucers.
Yesterday I did 2.5ml and smoked a cigarillo and ended up puking. X_X
My pupils were constricted, actually.

Really? I've just had a 2.5ml dose bout 30 mins ago and i think my pupils look normal, had to go and check cos i suddenly got paranoid :)

It's a great alcohol replacement but addiction properties are very similar, shall miss it once it's banned :(

It's never dilated my pupils. If anything they get smaller.

That's interesting.. GBL on it's own pretty much always turns my eyes to saucers.. Weird thing is I never feel stimulated, I quite like using 1.5ml as a sleep aid. Pretty much the only drug where I can easily sleep with monster saucer eyes.. Seems it's pretty much unique to me.. Ah well, I guess a more apt thread title would have been JYNXXY'S EYES ARE WEIRD :) :eek:

From what I know the effects of dilated pupils is not related at all to the drug class, I mean it being a stim or whatever, but to the drug's ability to loose the small muscles that make the pupil dilate or constrain. For example atropine is known to be used to dilate pupils in medicine but it's also used in the anesthesia cocktail; its character is a snc depressant and at high doses a deliriant and hallucinogen, so definitely not a stim, and not a common hallucinogen at all. Btw atropine is capable of loosing the sphincter and other muscles too.
Also every person responds differently to substances, and we all know that, with the pupils it's just the same: there are some things every one get huge pupils from (like MDMA and most phenetylamines), others vary from person to person: for example I got big pupils from acid and my buddy didn't, and so on...

I think there is a general rule of thumb for pupil constriction and dilation, though.
