Well, basically my location is in NE Asia, but the weather conditions are the same as in Siberia. With the spring coming and all, I want to start growing from mid May of this year. What strains/seeds would you recommend that require little care on my behalf and yet provide a decent yield as well as a great high. I guess that indicas are out of the question, because it's too freaking cold here, but sativas might be a good idea, no? What are the preparation steps involved? I need an experienced cannabis guerilla warrior to help me here. Thanks a lot, guys.

Indica's are actually a better choice as they flower faster than sativas. What you want to look for is a strain that has a SHORT flowering cycle once the light changes. Actually you could also go for one of the MANY auto flowering strains that have been developed from the lowryders. There are a lot of nice ones that still grow a decent size but keep the auto flowering trait. The autoflowering strains will take you from seed to bud the fastest which is what you need for a shorter colder growing season. Look for a company that has made a lot of lowryder crosses and find one that still grows to a decent size but retains the auto flowering trait for a fast harvest in a harsher climate with a smaller growing season.

I think an auto strain would be good. I think that purple strains are good for the colder climate.. like they grow well, they get you high, are good against mold and they colder they get the more purple they go!!!

not to be argumnetative but the color of the strain doesn;t mean it is better in a colder climate. The color really has nothing to do with how well the plant holds up in certain temps. But yea a larger auto flowering strain crossed a few times with a regular strain to make it produce more but keep the auto flowering trai is what he needs.

Yeah, but it would be much cooler smoking a purple bud rather than a green bud. I never at any point said it made a better/stronger smoke!
I have read on several sites that the colder the climate the deeper the purple (I found this interesting and thought you might, evidently you don't). As you were asking about different stains I assumed you didn't know this info or wouldn't be asking...

If your summer's short and your temps are coldish you can instantly forget any sativa leaning strains as the flowering times would render them useless. Also the purer indicas wont be much help if you get a fair amount of rain/moisture as the density of the buds will inevitably lead to major budrot issues...
AF strains is one route to go, you wont win any awards for potency or yield but you should at least manage to get some results.
Also look at early girl, biddy early, and the fast flowering strains coming out of Canada, these tend to be hardy and have a quick enough flowering cycle for us folks in less than tropical temps ;)
