Just curious, what your favourite kind of Beer is and why, maybe if you could describe it a little why you enjoy it so much and also where in the world do you live.

I live in New Zealand and my favourite brew is Corona :D

Its nothing too flash or expensive (about USD $13 / doz) but I really enjoy drinking it.

Its relatively light, 4.5% is easy to drink, tastes quite good when its chilled and is even better on a hot summers day when you add a slice of lime or lemon to it.

I think it would be cool to post a pic as well, so here's mine!

I dont think I've ever tried Corona. I really like Cobra at the moment, but I now mainly go for Strongbow Cider. I like Snakebits with the two of em, but it gets me proper f**cked :D

Anderson Valley Brewery's Boont amber ale
Comes from a small brewery in the Boonies of Mendocino County in California.
Use to get this in kegs for a good price, fond memories of filling up a gallon water jug and taking it out to the disc golf course.

Beer kinda makes me sick to my stomach, but I had five cups of Pabst today at a very short-lived party. Eww. I've become fattened. :(

MmMmMm beeer... my drink of choice. I know that seems odd since there is a ton of different types/forms of alc bevies, but I mostly buy beer, not because its cheap, but because I cant resist that easy drinking, wonderful golden brown blend of hops n barley. Its perfect after a long day at work. It has to be the perfect temprature, JUST before it starts to freeze, when the bottle has a little frost and its ice cold. I have a few fav's because I like to try beers from all over the world, its like wine to me lol. Best beer producing countries imho are Canada, Germany, and Mexico. My top 3 fav's are (in order). . . Sleeman Cream Ale, Rickards Red Ale (MUST be from tap, never bottled or canned), and Corona (MUST have a lime, will not touch it without). Runner up's are Strongbow Cider, Becks Dark, and Miller Lite. Lastly, to me, drinking beer from a can is a cardinal sin! Unless your at a house party, drinking what someone else gives you, or need to buy a BIG ass case of beer, you should NEVER drink beer from a can, its just not the same! Heh, sry so long, I really love it that much :P

Funky I can totally associate with your love of beer. I am not a great fan of getting drunk these days (on its own!) but I do like a good beer. I really like real ales served at room temp with a few bubbles - marstons pedigree would be one of my favs. I also like continental lagers etc Becks being my fav there. But the absolute no1 top beer (stout) is well served Guinness. Over here it is sometimes called "the devil's buttermilk". It is just so good when looked after properly.

tasty shit.

although theyve recently changed the uk stella to make the alc content slightly less (now at 5%) and the taste isnt quite as good as it used to be.

Nice cold bottle of stella though........hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

the reason why i like it? tastes so smooth but still gets you drunk. :D

Only other alcohol i tend to drink is Jack D's , Jim beam, Glens/Grants Vodka or them mini heineken kegs........

unless im out on a night out then all hell breaks loose after much spirit drinking :p

I've never had any quality beer, so that affects my opinion of it, but Blue Moon has a nice distinctive taste. I've got to try some of their flavored ales.

I didnt know you were a cider man :D Given the choice I would go Strongbow everytime, its the ahhhhhhhhhhhhh after the first sip that I love. I tried that pear stuff the other day not half as nice. Scrumpy Jack also pretty good but it gets me too wrecked.

The complexity of beer is greatly under appreciated. There are tons of styles of beer all with their own specific tastes/aromas. Just keep trying different ones and you'll find something that suits your tastes. Quality beer that is. Most of the large US domestics are shit water (bud, coors, pabsts, natty ice, miller).

Totally agree with the Guinness, the extra stout and its variations are great, but why would I ever buy the draught which only has around 4% alcohol content. That's like drinking a bud light for christ's sake!!

Yeah. I am aware of the shittiness of American domestics. However, being only 18 (doesn't this sound so stupid to you everywhere else in the world? lol), I can't just go out and sample different types of beer.

kentucky brown stout from founders is probably the best beer i've ever had, went and has some the other night, made with coffee, caramel, chocolate and then sits in oak burn barrels for some time

it was incredible, 11.5%, but it was very 'sippable', something to have with a good piece of meat :)

is it 21 in your state i take it?

Ive always wondered..when do kids in the US start underage drinking? Here its around age 14/15 usually but it must be a bit harder to get over in the US at that age.

It's 21 in every state!
And I think thirteen is the starting point. There are statistics for this, of which I am admittedly not too familiar with, and for which I can't be arsed to look.

Corona's my favorite too! Bloody lovley stuff. It's stronger over here in france (about 6.8 percent) but really expensive (compared to the other beers) too so i usualy go for the the supermaket brand "carrefour" as it's reallly nice and only 1.75 euros for a 4 pack (big cans at 50cl). Was thinking about making my own corona by throwing in some tequila and lime, should be easy enough

Strong beers : Woodcock pale ale - compared to the alcohol % and the taste I really like this beer. Tastes like a new forrest. Hard to explain!

I never really liked Budweiser or Bud Light, but I tried a new beer today called Bud Light Lime, and it's FANTASTIC! It doesn't taste like a crappy beer with lime flavoring, it actually tastes like a Corona, but even smoother, and richer.

To my surprise, it says on the bottle it's from Anheuser-Busch Inbey, London, UK ? So it should be easy for all you guys over the pond to get some too, I know it wasn't available in Canada till a week ago ish though...

Anyways, great light easy drinking beer for a hot summer day in the yard, on the beach, wherever, its nice, and will get people asking you about it ;)

Cheers all, enjoi!

mickeys, budweiser, or bud light lime.

most people start drinking around 13-15 in the U.S.
its a real shame the drinking age is 21.
