Vitamins & Supplements for Health, Recovery and Damage control.

What Vitamins or Supplements do you take to help with chemical hangovers, side-effects, pre-load, post-load, harm-reduction etc

I saw Pandy complaining in another thread that no one was replying to this one. So here's my regimine for pre and post dosing. 5-HTP and B100 complex work wonders. They are basically all I use, and sometimes a generic multivitamin. I'm returning to school at some point, so I'm looking into getting some nootropics such as piracetam.

5-HTP I'll usually take several times a few days before dosing to ensure proper metabolism, then afterwards to rebuild serotonin levels. I find that if I take 5-HTP right before or during dosing certain substances, it gives me symptomes similar to serotonin syndrome.

Some supplements that I find useful and keep on hand;

Vitamin C - antioxidant.
Magnesium (& B6) - muscle relaxant.
Multivitamin (generic) - general wellbeing.
Clinicians brand 'Serotonic' - contains: B3, B6, 5htp, L-Phenylalanine and L-tryptophan. - amino acid and vitamin combo for brain chem recovery.
Melatonin - for inducing sleep and also an antioxidant that can cross the BBB (unlike Vit-C).
NADH - according to the back of the package "... it increases cellular energy production... may help enhance mood and emotional balance... offset occasional fatigue... preliminary research indicates that it is a powerful antioxidant and that it may support cardiovascular health..."

I take Melatonin when my sleep cycle is disrupted. Vitamin C regularly too (I forgot that one). I would substitue 5-HTP with L-Tryptophan, however, there was an importation ban deployed by the health agency in my country due to that 'Peak X' scare a fear years back. :(

chlorella, i try to take it everyday, taking a little more post partying. its packed with minerals and vitamins, helps detox the body and gives you energy.

i definitely noticed a difference with it, when i was out and did bzp the come down was a lot rougher and it took me a few days to recover. with the chlorella i was better after a day.

Well I would not say that it is healthy but if you take some valium and to get your sleep instead of staying up for a long time, it does help alot. The valium does have side effects as we all know but I would rather take a little bit of valium to get a more normal sleep (you get better) than to wait untill dawn comes again.

MDMA = 5htp + b6 vitamins

My guess is that this wouldn't work for everyone but I find making myself a small meal post high helps, like some toast with butter & honey and a warm drink like hot chocolate. down that with a bunch of supplements I mentioned above and ~10mg of Melatonin and I find sleep much easier, you get some carbs and simple sugars into you as well which I think helps that low-blood sugar feeling the next day/morning.

Eating the next day may also help :p
but if your feeling like death then eating is the last thing that you want to do

I use mega doses of Vit C, 1 multi vit with mins, around 50mg zinc, 1-3 times a day of omega 3,6,9... keeps me alert and happy when i remember to take the stuff and have the cash.

Niacin can help you sleep plus at dosages when you flush thats the B3 pushing toxins out of your skin(apparently), according to Abram Hoffer its nearly as safe as water.

With all due respect, Wrong.

Exercise itself produces free-radical damage. Food in and of itself is not enough to get the amount of nutrients and the right ones, especially when you consider the cost of a balanced, healthy food supply and when you factor in that most food produced today have so much less of vitamins and other nutrients due to the way that food is produced now. You simply cannot get what you need by food alone.

I don't agree with your posting because all supplements has some side effects and
after using we can suffer in various problems like weakness....so we should avoid these
supplements. I think healthy foods and exercise is the best supplements for health.
If you do exercise daily and eat healthy then you shouldn't need to use any kind of
supplements.

I'm wondering that where's the original post. I couldn't find it. I have found
some issue but I think it should be discussed with some friend. I'll return soon. regards

http://forhangovers.com/

This is a "hangover cure" that is an alka-seltzer type tablet that has aspirin, caffeine, and some acid reducer to help the symptoms of drinking too much. I always found alka-seltzer to help my drinking induced hangovers...and also smoking weed helps.

I always found kava to help insomia with hangovers of stims...
