That's great news. I too hope the domino effect goes throughout the country. Oregon and Washington would probably follow suit after California and hopefully then globally.

i fucking hate how we all dance to americas tune, IMO thats the ONLY reason tobacco is legal worldwide, its americas drug export

and we here in england are the worst for blindly following,

IMO it would be alot nicer to see it being done in the interests of safety and not for economic gain, i mean the reason it was supposed to be banned in the first place was because of the dangers involved,

this should be a good thing, and id like to think it will result in good, but not with the government behind it, i wouldnt be suprised it if ends up a being a bad thing if it ever happens....

you can trust the man to turn legalisation of ganj into a demon, things like that are what they are great at

It's fascinating but it's also a very strange dynamic. It's strange because it would still be illegal at a federal level. I mean just this year the DEA has decided to stop raiding clinics that were distributing medical MJ to people with valid prescriptions in Cali. Isn't that just bizarre?

As an American I'd like to see more countries stand up and fight against our DEA. They simply have too much power worldwide. While they're at it they can fight against the RIAA as well. :D

America learns from the best... We were just an infant nation when England launched it's Opium Wars (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opium_wars) on Asia. Done entirely for financial gain, they forced drugs on a nation wanting to save it's civilians.

Like father like son.. :p

hahaha, i was just going to say something like that too

but no matter how you look at it, i'd say this is a good thing.

even if prices go up on it, it's about time they got their heads out of their asses and realized this is one of the most viable businesses out there

our economy could use moar help

and if it does ever become legal, and taxable

think of the research that will go behind it to get the most retarded strong weed there is, HA!

thats very true matey, we certainly led the way in how to rule the whole world (well almost), and our past is very grim....i find that era of history amazingly interesting, respect to you for knowing about it.

id be all for legalistion, in the interests of harm reduction, and human rights, but when they start speaking about doing it just for economical gain i start to worry and i just think that without proper care and attention to the situation that legalisation could turn cannabis into a monster..and id hate to see that,

only time will tell ay,

just look at what the alcohol and tobbacco industry do to the world, regardless of the positives
