Good old psy-trance,music to have real listen to,as the depth of sound is the cutting edge of technology...Good tunes Goa,twisted records are still at it years later.Simon Posfed is a legend I carn't wait for him and Merv from Eat-static,to sort out their Metal Sharon album.Them 2 together could come up with a belter of a cd.But the 4th Sphongle album is going to be the nuts...And one last thing about Twisted,I think Dementertainment is still their best album.An absolute masterpiece of sonic manipulation.

I just got into the scene recently Pickled. I fell in love instantly, especially after I attended my first outdoor psy festival. I'm looking into becoming a DJ/producer as a hobby, but I still don't know whether I should go traditional or PC home studio style... costs a lot of money for all those mixers and such. Nice toys that I can't afford. So, anybody... What kind of audio sequencer would you recommend for a beginner? And where can I get some tight VSTs?

I'm looking forward to the upcoming stuff from Twisted as well. Never a disappointment. :D

if you buzzing then my personal recomendation would be shy fx, benny page and mosquito(J majik and wickaman). On the other hand stonner music has to be I Get High (Filo) and dr Green thumb/ Illusions (cypress hill).

I recommend any Talpa. Srsly get his album "The Art Of Being Non" and listen from start to finish and I promise It'll blow your mind. Psychedelic trance has been one of my favorite genres of techno for a long time. I ate about a dozen microdots one night many years ago and had auditory hallucinations that were nearly identical to the springy sproingy sounds that go on for nearly a minute in the track Divine Moments of Truth by Shpongle. The weird part about it is I had not heard this song until the day after that trip. :eek:

What I really enjoy these days is the progressive psy (especially in this weather - it's 20 °C in Dublin) but it can be difficult to find stuff that's not really commercial. I cannot abide Neelix and a lot of progressive can sound like him.
