Growing Tobacco

Just thinking Tobacco plants do grow in this funny little Island up here.I've never grown them from seed,and don't know a strain that's worth the hassle.Has anyone grown their own tobacco.I'd like to think it 's possible.....While I'm on about it growing tobacco should be a terrible crime,as it's the worst drug there is imho.
