Are there any US citizens here who can confirm what I thought I heard a while back about RF-chipping prisoners...

Haven't watched those youtube clips, but there is an interesting segment towards the end of the Zeitgeist Movie where they talk about these chips... how some people following 911 (an US/Israeli inside job) had their children RF-chipped!

My cynical view parallels the statement in Zeitgeist, "people won't be forced, people will choose to be RF-chipped"
And it starts with warming the people by introducing RF-chips on the fringes of societies consciousness (like in animals, dogs, horses) then in people (prisoners, sexual offenders etc) which builds up a few years of evidence that the RF-chips don't interfere with our human bodies and is safe...before we know it everyone is clambering to get this fantastic RF-chip lodged in their arms.

I think this would be awesome. I mean if you think about it, we do the same for our pets. The biggest difference is this one could actually do shit, pay as a credit card, open doors, start your car.

Think if they could place a small one in your body that monitors your vitals. It might save some lives of drug OD (likie heroin). Just think if you knew about a heart attack a good half of an hour before serious symptoms start to exhibit themselves.

Hopefully we'll get to the point where these chips can control computersl. That would just be awesome... 'cause you know typing and shit is a lot of work... :D:mad:

I dunno, I think this is getting a bit conspiriacy theory ist. I mean in America you aren't required to have a social security card to get a job or vote or pretty much anything. It's harder to say get a job, but it's not required by the governement.

If we can't even get our shit together enough to have a universal id card, then there's no way in hell we'll have the competency to do anything with those id chips. Relax, they'll be awesome. I can't wait for memory and processor upgrades for our minds. This is the next step of evolution.

scary shit maybe... but i doubt it.

even if it become compulsory for everyone to get that in say 2050, there would be ways round it by using electronic devices to see where it's hidden in you.
and then u could remove it or burn it out with some high strength signal of another type.

better would be: http://www.theengineer.co.uk/Articles/292756/Eye+recognition.htm

Do you really think that it would possibly EVER go this far? The government still allows checks, which have to be the most easily forged form of payment.. in fact it's not the government stopping businesses from taking checks, but it's the business's volition. I mean look at our government. The are so scared of technology we can't even vote online yet. This is so fucking stupid, I should be able to call in a vote on my cellular phone.

A strong degausser or EMP will ruin the chips. You might be even able to get away with simple neodium magnets. Seriously, if absolutely worse came to worse (which is like 0.001% likely) then, as p3anut said, there will just be smarter criminals. Criminals are always ahead of the law, it's just the young, naive and careless that get caught.

An important point for those that think it's a good idea to have biometric chips with wireless capabilities implanted in their boodies:

It's one hell of a cool idea!!!!....isn't it?
But only if the society and the goverment is transparent and accountable!

If not..... just fuck it. And when I say "fuck it", I mean "we're fucked".

Has anyone read "Little brother" by Cory Doctorow? You can download it here: http://craphound.com/littlebrother/download/

Really don't feel comfortable with surveillance until you have at least read something like this book.
